VSP® Tower Packing
MACH Engineering’s VSP® arch ring is a type of tower packing formed from a single sheet of metal. Its unique spherical shape maximizes surface-area-to-void-space ratio while providing structural integrity and mechanical strength. The sizes of Arch Ring are proportional in all dimensions for accurate scale-up. The result is a unique packing material that delivers significant performance improvements over a standard pall ring design.

Product Overview
MACH Engineering VSP® rings have a spherical shape that is proportional and symmetrical in all dimensions, allowing for accurate scale-up without the risk of nesting. They feature heavy ribs for added strength, making them suitable for use in high bed heights. A series of longitudinal perforations create tabs that fold inward — a unique design element that promotes the formation of small, trickle-down droplets that improve liquid-gas mixing and distribution.
We manufacture our VSP® tower packing in 1″, 1 1/2″ and 2″ sizes, using the following materials:
- VSP Tower Packing304 and 316 stainless steel
- 304L and SS316L low-carbon stainless steel
- Carbon steel
- Aluminum
- Titanium
- Copper
For the best corrosion resistance, choose stainless steel, aluminum or titanium. For cost-effective strength in non-corrosive environments, choose carbon steel.
